FAQs

Do new customers, suppliers and inventory lines automatically sync to Xero?

Yes, you can manage your inventory, customers, and suppliers in TidyStock without needing to enter them separately in Xero, but certain accounting setup steps in Xero may be required for full stock tracking.

Customers and Suppliers

  • When you create a new customer or supplier in TidyStock, the system will check Xero.
  • If the contact does not already exist in Xero, it will automatically be created the first time a transaction is processed (for example, when a Sale is invoiced or a Purchase Order is received).

Inventory Lines

  • TidyStock manages inventory and, through invoicing and journals, updates the accounting side in Xero (such as Stock on Hand values).
  • Please note that TidyStock’s inventory management does not directly synchronise with Xero’s Inventory module.
  • Some account codes in Xero (like the default “Inventory” account) may not be used by TidyStock. In some cases, a new “Current Asset” type account may need to be set up in Xero for proper Stock on Hand tracking.
