There is currently no dedicated free text or notes box in sales or purchase pages.
As a workaround, you can add a comment line when creating an order alongside the material items. Tidy will recognise this as a comment (not a stock line), so it will not affect stock levels.
Please note: while this allows you to add notes, these comments are not searchable in the system.
