The “auto item mapping” setting relates to how items are linked between your system and Xero when transactions are sent through. However, this setting is not generally recommended for use.
Enabling it can lead to duplication issues (for example, items being tracked or updated in more than one place), which can cause discrepancies in your inventory and financial data.
To ensure accuracy and consistency, inventory should be managed in a single system, we recommend keeping TidyStock as the system of record, rather than managing items in Xero as well.
