Why is my Project missing from the Invoice Queue?

If a project is missing from the Invoice Queue, it may already have been converted into an invoice within Tidy, even if it has not successfully exported to your accounting software.

Symptoms

  • The project does not appear in the Invoice Queue.  
  • The invoice is not visible in your accounting software (e.g. Xero).  

Cause

If a project has already been converted into an invoice in Tidy, it is removed from the Invoice Queue. If the invoice export does not complete successfully, the project will still remain off the queue because Tidy considers it invoiced.

Resolution

  1. Open Invoice History.  
  1. Search for the project number or invoice number.  
  1. Check whether the invoice exists.  

If the invoice is correct

  • Try Exporting or Re-exporting the invoice from Invoice History.  

If the invoice is incorrect or you need the project back in the Invoice Queue

  1. Void the invoice in Invoice History.  
  1. Return to the Invoice Queue.  
  1. Click Refresh/Reset.  

The project should now reappear in the Invoice Queue, allowing it to be converted into an invoice again.

Important Notes

  • Converting a project to an invoice removes it from the Invoice Queue.  
  • If an invoice is voided and the queue is refreshed, the project becomes available to invoice again.  
  • After successfully converting the invoice, ensure it is exported to your accounting software if required by your workflow.
