Step 1.
Go to Materials under Global settings. Click on the Material items tab to view your materials.
If you have added a reference it will be shown here, in the reference column.
To add a reference, click the edit icon.
Step 2.
This will open the details of the material item. Add your reference in the reference box. Click save.
Note: This is usually to reference which machinery part the material item belongs to.
Step 3.
Purchase orders
To add an item by reference to a purchase order, go to New order under Sales and purchases.
Step 4.
Under the Purchase order items section, type in the material item’s reference in the search bar. This will show a drop down list of all the material items with that reference.
Select the item you want and enter the quantity.
Step 5.
Once all material items have been entered, save the purchase order.
Step 6.
Sales order
To add an item by reference to a sales order, go to New sale under Sales and purchases.
Step 7.
Under the items section, type in the material item’s reference in the search bar. This will show a drop down list of all the material items with that reference.
Select the item you want and enter the quantity.
Once all material items have been entered, save the Sales order.
