In this module, learn how to create an assembly. Assemblies are managed items, by definition. They cannot be unmanaged.

Step 1.
Go to Materials under Global settings, and click Assemblies.
Before you can build an Assembly, you must first create a blank assembly template, and define which components make up an Assembly.
Step 2.
Click New Assembly. This will open a box. Fill out the required information and click Save. The new assembly item will re-appear in expanded form at the top of the Assemblies screen, with an initial stock level of 0.
Step 3.
Two icons appear in the assembly item header - Components and Assemble (build).
Step 4.
Now you can begin to add components to your Assembly.
