How to enter and submit unplanned materials on a mobile device

In this module, you’ll learn how to enter unplanned materials against an existing project using a mobile device. This functionality is useful when you need to add a material that wasn’t originally assigned to the project. The system pulls material details directly from your inventory, ensuring consistency with existing stock data. While Tidy doesn’t have a mobile app, you can easily access the mobile-friendly web version by entering your Tidy account link in your phone’s browser.

Step 1.

To begin, open your mobile browser (such as Chrome, Edge, or Safari) and enter your Tidy account link.

You’ll be taken to the login page. Enter your username and password. Click Sign In.

Step 2.

Once logged in, you’ll land on the mobile version of your TidyEnterprise account.

Click on the Projects tab and select the project you want to add material entries to.

Step 3.

At the top of the project page, you’ll see a summary of the project details.

Scroll down to the Materials section, click to expand it, and then select New Material.

Note: The New Material option pulls item information directly from your stock, which means the price cannot be edited — it uses the pricing already recorded in your inventory.

Step 4.

You’ll be directed to a new page where you can begin entering the material details.

Start typing the material name. A dropdown list will appear, allowing you to quickly select from existing materials.

Enter the quantity you wish to add.

Step 5.

If a Purchase Order is required, select Yes under the Purchase Order Required field. This will allow you to generate a purchase order directly from this screen.

Please note, this option is role-based and may not be available to all users.

Step 6.

In the Location field, enter the location where the material will be received.

Add any relevant notes in the Notes text box.

Once you’ve filled in the material details:

  • Click Save and Add Another if you’d like to enter another material. A new entry screen will appear.
  • If you have no more materials to add, click Save.

Step 7.

You’ll be taken back to the main project page where your submitted materials will be listed.

Scroll down and click Done to confirm the entries.

Step 8.

A confirmation pop-up will appear.

Click Proceed to finalise your material submission.
