Set up currencies

This guide explains how to set up currencies. These are used for charging, payments, and patient credit.

Step 1.

Go to Settings> Financial and click Currencies.

Click Add new currency.

Step 2.

This will open a pop-up box where you create a currency.

When you select a currency from the list, the ISO code and Name will automatically fill in.

Making a currency the default will use it throughout the system, unless specified otherwise.

Step 3.

Click Save and create once complete.

Step 4.

Click on a currency to edit or delete it.

Note:

Xero currency Integration

TidyClinic will match the currency on the invoice to a matching currency within Xero using the currency's ISO code (i.e. NZD or AUD).
If your Xero account does not have support for this currency, you will receive a prompt asking if you want to add the missing currency to your Xero account. You may then either:

  • add the currency to your Xero account, or;
  • change your currency selection within TidyClinic to match your currency options in Xero

Once the currencies options are the same in both in TidyClinic and Xero then resubmit the invoice.
