How to complete a stock adjustment

In this module, learn how to add stock adjustments. These adjustments can be used to document 'variations' in material items that occur after the item has been created.

Step 1.

To make a stock adjustment, you need to transfer the material item to managed item.

Go to Materials under Global settings. For the material you wish to make a stock adjustment for, expand an existing managed material and click on Adjust.

Step 2.

This will open a pop-up box to adjust the material item you have chosen.

You can then select the reason for modification, and the resulting stock level and revised total and average unit cost are displayed.

To reduce a stock level, use a negative number in the Change in #Units field. If Locations are enabled for that item, the adjustment applies to the single selected Location.

Once completed, click Save.
